Mini power packs: construction and benefits
Mini power packs are compact hydraulic units, whose modular construction is built around the manifold - the central block. Their main task is to convert various types of energy into mechanical of fluid and control it.
What are mini hydraulic stations made of?
The main components included in mini power packs are:
- Primary engine. Provides conversion of a specific type of energy into rotary or linear motion. It can be of such types as: electric, diesel, pneumatic or gasoline.
- Hydraulic pump. Its function is to convert motion energy into mechanical fluid. It can be of the following types: gear, plunger, axial-piston and vane.
- Tank. A capacity made of plastic or metal with a neck through which the station is filled with working fluid. The task of the tank is to redirect energy to the actuating mechanism.
- Pipeline. It looks like a system of channels, including: high-pressure hoses, metal pipes, and modular or joint mounting plates. It is necessary to connect the hydraulic pump with the distribution equipment.
- Drain filter for cleaning the working fluid returning from the actuating mechanism to the tank.
What are the advantages of mini power packs?
The benefits of using this unit are quite numerous:
- Budget price compared to full-sized hydraulic units;
- Portability - dimensions and weight allow it to be added to the most compact structure;
- Low power consumption (compared to full-sized hydraulic units);
- Technical variations - mini hydraulic units are widely used in Ukraine, so they are produced with different characteristics.
For example, the tank volume can range from 5 liters to 20 liters, and the electric drive power can range from 0.55 kW to 4 kW. There are also models with pressure ranges of 5-50 Bar, 50-160 Bar, 160-230 Bar. The pump flow rate can be from 0.5 l/min to 7.1 l/min, and the number of flow control valves on one plate can be from 1 to 7.
