Rotary hydraulic motors
Principle work and application of rotary hydraulic motors
Rotary hydraulic motor (part-turn hydraulic motor, rotary cylinder) is a hydraulic device which serve for converting hydraulic energy into mechanical energy and for imparting a reciprocating-rotational movement to the working body at an angle less than 360 °. Rotary hydraulic motors are used in mechanisms for turning valves, in rotating stops, etc.
The movement of the rotary hydraulic motor shaft is controlled by a hydraulic valve or hydraulic drive control means.
Rotary hydraulic motors are positive displacement hydraulic motors with a limited angle of rotation of the output shaft. To create a rotary motion, the working fluid is fed alternately into the working cavities of the hydraulic motor. Rotary hydraulic motors are practically inertia-free. Emulsions and oils are used as a working fluid.
TYPES OF ROTARY HYDRAULIC MOTORS BY DESIGN OF WORKING CHAMBERS
- lamellar - (single-blade, two- and three-plate);
- piston
