Winter mode operation of the hydraulic system

Winter is the period when hydraulics operate in the harshest conditions. Low temperatures change the properties of oil, seals, and hoses, which creates additional resistance inside the hydraulic system, slows down movements, and increases the load on all components.

That is why cold starts without warming up, sudden movements, and ignoring the condition of components in winter are more likely to lead to leaks, malfunctions, and premature wear. What goes “without consequences” in summer can result in equipment downtime in the cold.

A few simple steps — checking the oil temperature, starting smoothly, and inspecting key components — help preserve the hydraulic system's service life and avoid unnecessary downtime during the busiest period of operation.
